Obviously, I need to get to know my couples quite quickly and I find that I can do this by asking about their favourite music, hobbies, how they enjoy spending their free time together and apart, the jobs they do, what colours they like. However, it's surprising how many people say purple is their favourite colour and then they choose yellow! Talking of which, I profess not to like yellow flowers. So what did I bring home tonight? ..... 2 bunches of yellow flowers. They called to me ..... shouting that Spring would soon be here ..... SO we have to bear in mind that things we may not usually like, in a certain context scream at us to love them.
Inspiration comes from all around us. For wedding planning, we are bombarded by Blogs, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. I try to re-post on Facebook to the Maple Leaf Wedding page with ideas and images that may not be easily re-created but give you food for thought and it's the same with Pinterest. Don't ever think you have to replicate an image exactly. Think around it and bring your own personality to an image that you like.
These are some images from Facebook and Pinterest
Look at the colour combinations as well as the actual products.
You could also print the image below and keep it in the centre of any planning boards/lists you may make - just as a reminder of why you are getting married which is a something thing you shouldn't loose sight of.
And finally, when all else fails simply remember this.
