Cold & comfortable

Let me explain the heading .... when you visit Canada you will find that the weather is more of a conversation topic than it is in the UK!!!! The daily temperature forecast is always given twice - daytime high and nightime low - and then again taking into account humidity [in the summer] and wind chill [in the winter]. I have learnt that there are also two colds -5, and -15. It's not really cold until -5 and it's really cold from -15 and below that. There is, however, a way of beating the cold and that's dressing for it. If your feet, head and hands are warm, the rest of you is warm. Honestly! Feet are critical cos you walk on cold, head is important because you loose body temperature through your head and the only positive about cold hands is that if you've got them, you're supposed to have a warm heart! So dressing feet, in particular, for the cold, being comfortable and looking good is the big issue for a winter wedding.

I don't know if you've come across Ruby & Ed - I only found them last Christmas when I bought my daughter a pair of mince pie slippers! They were fab. Anyway, I got their new brochure through for this Autumn/Winter and there is some footwear & accessories that fit right into the cold & comfortable dressing category.

To start with feet - I think these are great! They ARE outdoor boots and they have a lining that you can take out and wash. ON MY WISH LIST.

coupled with this trio - a muff, a collar and a headband

An alternative boot

and another headband or a trapper hat

All wrapped up warm and cosy! Fab!!
